Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Honrio in the 32nd minute of play. Villa Lourdes FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Henning Martinsson scored to the left of an out of position Meta Tirosh, making the score, 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, Villa Lourdes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arias Fabelo came free, but Meta Tirosh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
