After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Eyüp Üstündağ managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Eyüp Üstündağ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Cura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hector-Luis Laine fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona Sporting Club's protests and gave Hector-Luis Laine a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the match, Barcelona Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Eyüp Üstündağ came free, but Flavio Cura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
