The CEBE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yakup Tanören should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Independente FC's Luiz Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakup Tanören made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Yakup Tanören showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Raí Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yakup Tanören was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. CEBE's Vatan Muhammed managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carlos Fernando de Toledo in the 34 minute of the game. One of CEBE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independente FC:s goal. When Eyüp Üstündağ fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CEBE's protests and gave Eyüp Üstündağ a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Independente FC booed when CEBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eyüp Üstündağ didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yakup Tanören didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raí Prestes went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The CEBE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independente FC were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. Independente FC's Nando Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyüp Üstündağ in the 58th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Independente FC's Luiz Marquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yakup Tanören. Yakup Tanören yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 93rd minute, Eyüp Üstündağ left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CEBE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. In the 96th minute, Baturhan Emir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independente FC played a much better game than CEBE and deserved their victory. The CEBE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
