Olimpiu Târlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petru Tărău's late challenge caught a Academia Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petru Tărău helped the player get up and apologised. Academia Rio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Pantelimon in the 42nd minute. Olimpiu Târlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Ionete, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute Radu Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Târlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petru Tărău stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurelian Coporan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Tărău in the 55th minute of play. Codrin Ionete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Olimpiu Târlea made a huge save. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Liviu Halipa replaced Matei Filipoiu. After 69 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Felix Grigoroiu. Olimpiu Târlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-5. 93 minutes into the match, Petru Tărău notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan. Aurelian Coporan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Academia Rio's Olimpiu Târlea threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Radu Păvăloae, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Academia Rio's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
