In the 4th minute, Radu Păvăloae ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Bălașa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 6th minute of play forced Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Bălașa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Nedelciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dorel Nedelciu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Ilie Armeanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Juventus Țiu booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Ionete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marius Bălașa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Bălașa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Dorel Nedelciu scored 1-5 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marius Bălașa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marius Bălașa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 38th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Coșeriu in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marius Bălașa saved Juventus Țiu from getting behind. After 42 minutes Juventus Țiu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Pantelimon who took care of the corner kick. Dumitru Pantelimon made a great header on Academia Rio's corner, it was just that Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa managed to reach the ball for a save. Marius Bălașa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Nedelciu in the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Radu Păvăloae cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Marius Bălașa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Academia Rio were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marius Bălașa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-10. 71 minutes into the match, Sergiu Coșeriu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marius Bălașa, 1-11. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 76th minute of play forced Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa got control of the ball when Sergiu Coșeriu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juventus Țiu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu scored to the left of an out of position Marius Bălașa, making the score, 1-12. Dorel Nedelciu scored 1-14 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marius Bălașa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Blănaru in the 90th minute of play forced Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Juventus Țiu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dumitru Pantelimon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Dorel Nedelciu drilling the ball in to score 1-15 behind Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper. 94 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorel Nedelciu. Marius Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 98th minute of play.
