The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aparício Guerreiro scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Björn Esbjörnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Björn Esbjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 8th minute of play. Björn Esbjörnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 11th minute of the match. São Francisco FC86 were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Xlashrs FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Maltez took the corner. The corner led São Francisco FC86's Aparício Guerreiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Björn Esbjörnsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Aparício Guerreiro sped through Xlashrs FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Björn Esbjörnsson. São Francisco FC86's Hudson de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Cichocki in the 17th minute of play. Maurício Câmara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Hudson de Carvalho made a huge save. Hudson de Carvalho was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Maurício Câmara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maurício Câmara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After some careless play in the Xlashrs FC defense, Ronaldo Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Björn Esbjörnsson. The Xlashrs FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Björn Esbjörnsson should have stopped the shot. Robin Öberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Jorge Maltez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Björn Esbjörnsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute Ronaldo Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Esbjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes São Francisco FC86 got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Pinheiro. Thanks to some nice moves Maurício Câmara could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Hudson de Carvalho however easily saved by the left post. In the 37th minute of the match, Eugeniusz Cichocki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hudson de Carvalho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 38 minutes into the match, Xlashrs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Furo Rede came free, but Björn Esbjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Furo Rede in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Esbjörnsson saved Xlashrs FC from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Xlashrs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Vasques came free, but Björn Esbjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to São Francisco FC86 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ronaldo Pinheiro hit a great ball. Maurício Câmara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson de Carvalho having to make a save. Björn Esbjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Furo Rede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Björn Esbjörnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Aparício Guerreiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Björn Esbjörnsson, 1-4. São Francisco FC86's Ronaldo Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Furo Rede took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Esbjörnsson. Björn Esbjörnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. When Aparício Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Francisco FC86's protests and gave Aparício Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Xlashrs FC booed when São Francisco FC86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aparício Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Maltez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Björn Esbjörnsson. Xlashrs FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 74th minute Ronaldo Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Esbjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Esbjörnsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Furo Rede went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Aparício Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Björn Esbjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesualdo Granja succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 83rd playminute. 87 minutes into the match, São Francisco FC86's Aparício Guerreiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Björn Esbjörnsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Maurício Câmara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xlashrs FC and the São Francisco FC86 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 91 minutes, Jesualdo Granja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Francisco FC86's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesualdo Granja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th match minute, São Francisco FC86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched São Francisco FC86 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
