In the 11th minute, Flávio Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 minutes, Higino Malta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Valdujo and the San Vito players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Valdujo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Higino Malta hit a great ball. Augusto Cavallaro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Fabrizio Pugliese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Mourinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flávio Dantas to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Fabio Silvagni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Vito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Valdujo the free kick. In the 65th minute of the match, Baltasar Mourinho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabrizio Pugliese was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Vito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juvenal Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Valdujo's players had a chance to rest. Maurício Mansilha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Santagata's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Aldo Santagata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Mansilha having to interfere. SC Valdujo's Maurício Mansilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Pierdomenico in the 80th minute of play. Maurício Mansilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Santagata in the 82nd minute of the match. Graciano Barata charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Graciano Barata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Valdujo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. During the 90th minute of the match Higino Malta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Higino Malta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Higino Malta hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Maurício Mansilha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Santagata in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Máximo Quental hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SC Valdujo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
