Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonso Villamayor in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Romo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, San jose fc's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Salsoro came free, but Pedro Brizuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Villamayor struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Efrain Romo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San jose fc. 23 minutes into the game, Aramis Richardson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Prophecy's Camilo Arozamena quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Samuel Cedillo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Brizuela. Pedro Brizuela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Samuel Cedillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of San jose fc's Pedro Brizuela. Pedro Brizuela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Brizuela came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Prophecy's Alvaro Salsoro. But to his dismay, Alvaro Salsoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Amaury Mejía received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Efrain Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Prophecy booed when San jose fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aramis Richardson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Brizuela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Salsoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Brizuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Salsoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Prophecy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Ponga to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Prophecy were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonso Villamayor to make the kick off. Pedro Brizuela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuel Cedillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 51 minute of play. A collision led to Prophecy getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luis Rodil hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Alvaro Salsoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Brizuela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Amaury Mejía had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Prophecy's Rodolfo Ponga got a free kick in the 67th minute. Amaury Mejía sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San jose fc's Pedro Brizuela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save San jose fc from getting a goal against them. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Prophecy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
