Philip Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Vrede in the 5th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Qurbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Slater. Youri Waesbergen might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philip Carter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Youri Waesbergen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute, Youri Waesbergen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ellecom FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute Youri Waesbergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Qurbo FC's Matthew Hamer got a free kick in the 15th minute. Youri Waesbergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Philip Carter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Ellecom FC got a freekick which was hit by Barry Schenkhuizen. Qurbo FC's Philip Carter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Waesbergen in the 30th minute of play. Youri Waesbergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Youri Waesbergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philip Carter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Gerwin Oortwijn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ellecom FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qurbo FC the free kick. In the 36th minute, Gerwin Oortwijn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Carter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Waesbergen in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Youri Waesbergen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Carter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Philip Carter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Youri Waesbergen went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Youri Waesbergen to strike the kick off in the second half. If Filip Blikman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Youri Waesbergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Robinson in the 62nd minute of play forced Ellecom FC's goalkeeper Karel Spannenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Qurbo FC booed when Ellecom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Ijkwezen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Wesley Robinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qurbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley Robinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karel Spannenburg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ellecom FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
