The referee showed Kasım Kargin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Meliestraat SC booed when Ezine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Kargin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hendrik-Jan Haken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Meliestraat SC's Hendrik-Jan Haken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ahmet Erdem Burçhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Tomas Overmars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip van der Sar kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Ezine's Ahmet Erdem Burçhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ate Kik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Godfried van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Hendrik-Jan Haken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ezine's zone, Godfried van Driest stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey came out of the goal and Godfried van Driest tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Godfried van Driest put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey. 56 minutes into the game, Gökçek Savaşer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Meliestraat SC's Philip van der Sar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfried van Driest in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Çağrı Yalazabey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried van Driest in the 77th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Joost van der Leegte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meliestraat SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joost van der Leegte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfried van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kasım Kargin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezine's Kasım Kargin got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Kasım Kargin off the ground. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Meliestraat SC fully deserved thier win.
