In the 3rd minute, Mihăiţă Hurezeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pompiliu Ciutacu's late challenge caught a Graspeel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompiliu Ciutacu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Horus booed when Graspeel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Heulmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Corneliu Encuțu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik-Jan Willemsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Horus's Pompiliu Ciutacu got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Pompiliu Ciutacu off the ground. David Gârbovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Ferdi Hermensen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Călin Ungheanu came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Graspeel FC's Niek Pilage. But to his dismay, Niek Pilage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Niek Pilage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Ungheanu having to interfere. Ferdi Hermensen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Călin Ungheanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Călin Ungheanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Hermensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Horus's goalkeeper Călin Ungheanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferdi Hermensen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Călin Ungheanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Ferdi Hermensen made a precise shot to the right of Călin Ungheanu. Horus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ferdi Hermensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Ungheanu having to interfere. Niek Pilage struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Călin Ungheanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graspeel FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Ferdi Hermensen made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Niek Pilage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graspeel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Niek Pilage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Călin Ungheanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute Ferdi Hermensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ungheanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ferdi Hermensen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes of play Horus's Eusebiu Zdrehuş was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 61st minute, Eusebiu Zdrehuş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Niek Pilage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Călin Ungheanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Hermensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ferdi Hermensen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horus's Anton Bojonca got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hendrik-Jan Willemsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Gârbovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, David Gârbovan made a precise shot to the right of Hendrik-Jan Willemsen. Graspeel FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Niek Pilage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Ungheanu having to interfere. Horus's Călin Ungheanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Hermensen in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Edgar Grigoriu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graspeel FC the free kick. Edgar Grigoriu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Ferdi Hermensen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Călin Ungheanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Ferdi Hermensen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 85th minute. Horus's David Gârbovan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdi Hermensen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Călin Ungheanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Hermensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niek Pilage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Horus fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Graspeel FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
