An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Sasso in the 4th minute of play forced Ellecom FC's goalkeeper Karel Spannenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Pugliese didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Youri Waesbergen went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Diego Pierdomenico managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Vito's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Pierdomenico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of San Vito booed when Ellecom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roel Steffens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Fortunato Sasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karel Spannenburg skillfully saved the ball. Youri Waesbergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrizio Pugliese read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play.
