Horus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meliestraat SC the free kick. With a little luck, Meliestraat SC's Ate Kik got control of the ball when Edgar Grigoriu tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Gârbovan kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horus's goalie prevented a goal. Călin Ungheanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried van Driest in the 17th minute of the match. Ate Kik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihăiţă Hurezeanu in the 24th minute of the match. Edgar Grigoriu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ate Kik having to interfere. Călin Ungheanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godfried van Driest went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Godfried van Driest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hendrik-Jan Haken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Ungheanu having to interfere. Mihăiţă Hurezeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ate Kik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Grigoriu in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihăiţă Hurezeanu made a kick off. Edgar Grigoriu took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ate Kik. Ate Kik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 54th minute, Hendrik-Jan Haken fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Călin Ungheanu, passed just outside the right post. David Gârbovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ate Kik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Meliestraat SC got a freekick which was hit by Philip van der Sar. Ate Kik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihăiţă Hurezeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Hurezeanu in the 67th minute of play forced Meliestraat SC's goalkeeper Ate Kik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Horus's goal looked a bit too open when Hendrik-Jan Haken came free, but Călin Ungheanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Grigoriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Horus getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Anton Bojonca hit a great ball. In the 76th match minute, Meliestraat SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip van der Sar to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Meliestraat SC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Overmars. Edgar Grigoriu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ate Kik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Meliestraat SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Grigoriu came free, but Ate Kik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfried van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edgar Grigoriu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Horus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Grigoriu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Meliestraat SC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Heiko Driessens hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meliestraat SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
