José Luis Montañas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Máximo Quental fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Brizuela having to interfere. Flávio Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Brizuela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Brizuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Máximo Quental hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, José Luis Montañas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Brizuela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Máximo Quental in the 27th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, José Luis Montañas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San jose fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Luis Montañas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Higino Malta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alonso Villamayor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Mansilha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Luis Montañas's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the San jose fc defense, Máximo Quental kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Brizuela. The San jose fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Brizuela should have stopped the shot. Máximo Quental kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alonso Villamayor made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Alonso Villamayor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurício Mansilha. Alonso Villamayor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If José Luis Montañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. San jose fc's Pedro Brizuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higino Malta in the 57th minute of play. Pedro Brizuela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Higino Malta went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. San jose fc's Pedro Brizuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Quental in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Baltasar Mourinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Brizuela. San jose fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Mourinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After 70 minutes of play, SC Valdujo's Higino Malta made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Brizuela was left in no man's land by his defense there! 80 minutes into the match, SC Valdujo's goalkeeper Maurício Mansilha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonso Villamayor. Maurício Mansilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonso Villamayor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Luis Montañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juvenal Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. SC Valdujo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
