The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brice Carey was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Luís Guilherme Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brice Carey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. But to his dismay, Dorival do Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Colin Kohler fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Colin Kohler a yellow card for diving instead. Futbol Club RRFV's Zé Paulo Esteves was substituted for Diamantino Senna. The supporters of Futbol Club RRFV booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Kohler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Paulo Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto de Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Colin Kohler got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto de Sousa in the 31st minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Brice Carey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Carlos Alberto de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brice Carey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brice Carey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The Key Biscayne FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Futbol Club RRFV were winning 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto de Sousa made a kick off. Dorival do Vale in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brice Carey, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dorival do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Futbol Club RRFV's Carlos Alberto de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Carlos Alberto de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futbol Club RRFV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Futbol Club RRFV's Carlos Alberto de Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brice Carey. Brice Carey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Noel Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Fernando Miguel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Rosenberg in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Key Biscayne FC were awarded a corner. Colin Kohler went to the cornerflag to take it. 71 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's Dorival do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Carey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Brice Carey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Carlos Alberto de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dorival do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futbol Club RRFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brice Carey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Arturo Fuentes hit a great ball. Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Key Biscayne FC from getting a goal against them. Brice Carey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto de Sousa went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.
