Danone CC's Otávio Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Danone CC from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the game, Danone CC's Júlio Pena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dušan Szilagyi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Andrej Maliniak hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, FC DAC 1904's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Braga came free, but Dušan Szilagyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Danone CC's Júlio Pena made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dušan Szilagyi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Danone CC's Júnior Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Szilagyi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Júnior Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Dušan Szilagyi. FC DAC 1904's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 26th minute, Júnior Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dušan Szilagyi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Júlio Pena scored 0-6 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dušan Szilagyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute of the match Laerte Bittencourt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dušan Szilagyi skillfully saved the ball. 41 minutes into the match, FC DAC 1904's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir de Almeida came free, but Dušan Szilagyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Pena scored 0-7 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dušan Szilagyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Danone CC's Jairo Macedo was substituted for Marquinhos Coelho. After the first half Danone CC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Mičian to strike the kick off in the second half. Jairo Macedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dušan Szilagyi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the FC DAC 1904 defense, Vladimir de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dušan Szilagyi. The FC DAC 1904 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dušan Szilagyi should have stopped the shot. Lamar Walls's late challenge caught a FC DAC 1904's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lamar Walls helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Lamar Walls hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC DAC 1904 booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamar Walls didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei de Medeiros made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Clemente Recife. Jairo Macedo struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dušan Szilagyi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Danone CC. Dušan Szilagyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Pena scored 0-10 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dušan Szilagyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Danone CC's Zdzislaw Waselewicz was substituted for Clemente Recife. Júlio Pena scored 0-11 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dušan Szilagyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dušan Szilagyi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Júlio Pena sent off a good shot on target. If Cyprian Grajewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
