One of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Espen Steelers:s goal. Fabian Arendarski had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Alain Berset's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Espen Steelers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Williams Imholz in the 45th minute. Tobie Canclini hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. István Hoffman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregor Kobel. Espen Steelers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for István Hoffman to strike the kick off in the second half.
