In the 3rd minute Norberto Villegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Dimas to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Miclea in the 19th minute of play. Geovani Velloso made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Roland Banaszak sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silviu Miclea in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Villegas in the 29th minute of play. Domingo Jago struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Geovani Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merengue FC. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Miclea in the 34th minute of play. Noia's Geovani Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Jago in the 39th minute of play. Durvalino Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Banaszak made a kick off. Geovani Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Banaszak went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Banaszak came free, but Geovani Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Roland Banaszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Frances, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Roland Banaszak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovani Velloso. Noia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Banaszak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 72nd minute, Merengue FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norberto Villegas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 72 minutes, Silviu Miclea made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Noia booed when Merengue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Gonsalvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Norberto Villegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Norberto Villegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Noia's Silviu Miclea in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merengue FC's goalie prevented a goal. Darwin Núñez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovani Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Banaszak, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Darwin Núñez might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovani Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darwin Núñez ran back to his position shaking his head. Mateo Llorienzo made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Norberto Villegas sent off a good shot on target.
