Horia Tătaru started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Dustin Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Pihlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lonnie Hurley. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Horia Tătaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Tătaru came free, but Lonnie Hurley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Cody McKay. The supporters of Preator Edikt booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cody McKay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Pihlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georges Collard in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Tătaru in the 24th minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Lonnie Hurley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Cody McKay got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horia Tătaru in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Hurley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Key Biscayne FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lonnie Hurley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horia Tătaru in the 33rd minute. Preator Edikt were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Key Biscayne FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luís Gustavo Barbosa took the corner. Horia Tătaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lonnie Hurley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horia Tătaru ran back to his position shaking his head. Lonnie Hurley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Tătaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Horia Tătaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Tătaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lonnie Hurley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Georges Collard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Pihlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georges Collard in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Horia Tătaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Horia Tătaru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lonnie Hurley. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horia Tătaru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 63 minutes into the match, Horia Tătaru notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Collard in the 69th minute of play forced Preator Edikt's goalkeeper Jan Pihlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lonnie Hurley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horia Tătaru went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Key Biscayne FC defense, Horia Tătaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lonnie Hurley. The Key Biscayne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lonnie Hurley should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Ali Hogue dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jan Pihlberg, 6-1. Horia Tătaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lonnie Hurley having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Horia Tătaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lonnie Hurley was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Karl-Ove Örtendal's late challenge caught a Key Biscayne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Ove Örtendal helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Preator Edikt got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Ove Örtendal. Jan Pihlberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lucien Goff. Lonnie Hurley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Tătaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Preator Edikt fully deserved thier win.
