The referee ordered Aristides Bizen off the ground. 24 minutes into the match, Domingo Jago notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Snake FC's Guillermo Colas. Guillermo Colas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darwin Núñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Guillermo Colas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Lucero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateo Llorienzo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Snake FC's Federico Illan. But to his dismay, Federico Illan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 40th play minute Bernardino Lucero came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mateo Llorienzo. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Illan in the 44th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardino Lucero was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Snake FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Colas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Frances. Guillermo Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darwin Núñez in the 69th minute of play forced Snake FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darwin Núñez took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Colas. Guillermo Colas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Guillermo Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darwin Núñez in the 72nd minute of the match. Guillermo Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Banaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guillermo Colas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Isaac Bernard fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Snake FC's protests and gave Isaac Bernard a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Nerio. The audience was convinced that Bernardino Lucero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Llorienzo was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rd match minute, Snake FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Pabla to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Roland Banaszak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merengue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Banaszak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Colas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everardo Nerio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Mateo Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Merengue FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
