Caminiaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hemming Tjørnum should have stopped the shot. Ildefonso Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, C.A. Caminiaga's Dario Astigar threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodolfo Txeru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lisandro Nuñez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hemming Tjørnum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Melchor Frances hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Hemming Tjørnum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hemming Tjørnum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A. Caminiaga's Gabriel Rey got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Allan Blom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hemming Tjørnum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of C.A. Caminiaga booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léon Valin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hemming Tjørnum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. C.A. Caminiaga's Hemming Tjørnum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Nuñez in the 36th minute of play. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hemming Tjørnum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemming Tjørnum having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, one of C.A. Caminiaga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lisandro Nuñez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Lisandro Nuñez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hemming Tjørnum saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hemming Tjørnum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Rodolfo Txeru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Astigar. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Astigar should have stopped the shot. In the 69thth minute of the game Lisandro Nuñez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Caminiaga's Hemming Tjørnum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hemming Tjørnum. Hemming Tjørnum yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell was substituted for Lisandro Nuñez. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Isaias Rosario replaced Allan Blom. In the 80th minute, Ildefonso Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hemming Tjørnum. That made the score 1-4 after 87 minutes of play. After 92 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hemming Tjørnum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hemming Tjørnum made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ciriaco Cordarrell sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over SAN LORENZO FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A. Caminiaga throughout the match.
