The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Andrew De Graef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Belardi. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Roelants, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthieu Van den Berge in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Catini in the 17th minute of play forced Bruly's goalkeeper Mathias-Alexander De Block to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias-Alexander De Block was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alvise Carnevale. Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Roelants in the 21st minute of play. Anthony Pietrantoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Mathias-Alexander De Block made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Bruly's goalkeeper Mathias-Alexander De Block had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anthony Pietrantoni. Mathias-Alexander De Block showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Belardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Antonello Pocobello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mathias-Alexander De Block made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Roelants in the 32nd minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Falcioni came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Bruly's Angelo Gelens. But to his dismay, Angelo Gelens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dave Falcioni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luc Van Linthaut went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Bruly getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Diederiek Van de Loock hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Anthony Pietrantoni sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mathias-Alexander De Block skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Bruly's Mathias-Alexander De Block got control of the ball when Antonello Pocobello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niki Roelants in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luc Van Linthaut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Burnley FC from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the game, Matthieu Van den Berge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dave Falcioni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dave Falcioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 91 minutes into the match, Bruly's Matthieu Van den Berge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Falcioni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Carlo Loreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
