Bruly's Mathias-Alexander De Block played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué da Cunha in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Bruly's goal looked a bit too open when Josué da Cunha came free, but Mathias-Alexander De Block reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Gelens hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Régis Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niki Roelants, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Régis Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthieu Van den Berge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Niki Roelants shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes REAL VASCO RIO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matthieu Van den Berge who took care of the corner kick. Bruly's Matthieu Van den Berge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Régis Mota in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 19th minute of the match REAL VASCO RIO got a corner. Bruly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sidnei Matorin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Léo Pitta in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathias-Alexander De Block, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Régis Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Bruly's goal looked a bit too open when Josué da Cunha came free, but Mathias-Alexander De Block reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Léo Pitta to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Josué da Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mathias-Alexander De Block was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute Léo Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias-Alexander De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niki Roelants's late challenge caught a REAL VASCO RIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
