After a defensive mix-up in Bruly's zone, Ronaldão Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias-Alexander De Block came out of the goal and Ronaldão Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luc Van Linthaut in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruly's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matthieu Van den Berge in the 8th minute. After taking down the ball on Bruly's corner Matthieu Van den Berge fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bebeto Britto quite easily take care of the ball. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bruly! Luiz Fernando de Lima scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias-Alexander De Block, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Fernando de Lima hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Mathias-Alexander De Block showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Mathias-Alexander De Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A beautiful save bye Bruly's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Bruly defense, Ronaldão Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias-Alexander De Block. The Bruly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias-Alexander De Block should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Azevedo in the 46th minute of play forced Bruly's goalkeeper Mathias-Alexander De Block to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Angelo Gelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After 61 minutes Bruly's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fernando de Lima who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Milanis E.C.'s Ronaldão Mazza getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a little luck, Bruly's Mathias-Alexander De Block got control of the ball when Ronaldão Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belmiro Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mathias-Alexander De Block tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Milanis E.C.'s Mathias-Alexander De Block threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Belmiro Koehler, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
