Jacinto Neto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 83rd minute, Egídio Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Futbol Club RRFV's Zé Paulo Esteves ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurence Cuppens. Laurence Cuppens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Alpina FC's Laurence Cuppens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Esteves in the 98th minute of play.
