REAL VASCO RIO's supporters rose to their feet, but William de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurence Cuppens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Léo Pitta notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Alpina FC's Laurence Cuppens. Laurence Cuppens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alpina FC's Dominik De Weerdt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by William de Medeiros in the 45 minute of the game. The supporters of Alpina FC booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattijs Van Beylen was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattijs Van Beylen in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Régis Mota saved REAL VASCO RIO from getting behind. REAL VASCO RIO's Régis Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattijs Van Beylen in the 61st minute of play. Quentin Leenders hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Alpina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Tavares came free, but Laurence Cuppens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Tavares in the 67th minute of play forced Alpina FC's goalkeeper Laurence Cuppens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Quentin Leenders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, Alpina FC's Mattijs Van Beylen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Régis Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Léo Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Laurence Cuppens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quentin Leenders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
