Javiero Hevias short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Flávio de Queiroz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. REAL VASCO RIO's Flávio de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Ubiergo in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Gláuber Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REAL VASCO RIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ the free kick. In the 10th minute, Gláuber Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Teddi Duro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Flávio de Queiroz but with some difficulty. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Natã Nogueira hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Mazza came free, but Alfredo Quintupran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Quintupran having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Marcinho Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 34th minute, Sydney Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javiero Hevia in the 35th minute. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naelio Barticciotto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Gláuber Cardozo made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Quintupran. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Josué da Cunha's late challenge caught a ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josué da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47thth minute of the game Javiero Hevia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but REAL VASCO RIO's Flávio de Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Marciano Garachena managed to get in a good position for a shot. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Garachena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Raúl Detmer made a kick off. If Gláuber Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naelio Barticciotto kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the REAL VASCO RIO defense, Marciano Garachena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio de Queiroz. The REAL VASCO RIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. REAL VASCO RIO's Flávio de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiero Hevia in the 69th minute of play. Sydney Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Markus Ubiergo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of REAL VASCO RIO's Flávio de Queiroz. Flávio de Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Constantino Dutard kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match, Sydney Mazza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredo Quintupran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Gláuber Cardozo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Alfredo Quintupran to make any attempt to save it. REAL VASCO RIO were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
