Dirk Damman went to the cornerflag to take it. Dirk Damman made a great header on Alpina FC's corner, it was just that Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni managed to reach the ball for a save. Didier Schollens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristoforo Capuozzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Dirk Damman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Cláudio Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfons Van Mellaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Falcioni having to interfere. Fabiano Barbanti's late challenge caught a Alpina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Barbanti helped the player get up and apologised. Fabiano Barbanti hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Alpina FC booed when Burnley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Africano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cláudio Miranda, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dave Falcioni was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With his leg Dave Falcioni managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Alpina FC's Cláudio Miranda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Van Mellaert in the 39th minute of play. Dave Falcioni was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cláudio Miranda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. Babacar Sylla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dave Falcioni came out and tried to block the shot, but Babacar Sylla slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute.

When the referee ended the match the Alpina FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
