After taking down the ball on Give Peace a Chance's corner Marc Heising fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Didier Schollens quite easily take care of the ball. Give Peace a Chance's Erdem Kazım played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Alves in the 24th minute of play. Didier Schollens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kay Wering, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lu Sang to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Benne Hulsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpina FC and the Give Peace a Chance players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alpina FC's Benne Hulsen got a free kick in the 50th minute. Alpina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dirk Damman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Heising hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Alpina FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Give Peace a Chance from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
