After 17 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Godo Jaffke. Erdem Kazım acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Frédson Mineiro. In the 20th minute, Frederico Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erdem Kazım was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Vianna got free with Erdem Kazım in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ubaldo Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Give Peace a Chance defense, Frederico Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erdem Kazım. The Give Peace a Chance fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erdem Kazım should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes, Give Peace a Chance's Lennie Langhammer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Give Peace a Chance reached it. Ubaldo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kay Wering, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

BRASIL.Sp's Breno Sá was substituted for Frédson Mineiro. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lu Sang to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Lu Sang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Give Peace a Chance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kléber Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kléber Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute Gustavo Sauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdem Kazım saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Sá came free, but Erdem Kazım reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Lu Sang sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Errol Schürmann-Horster hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Emanuel Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ubaldo Fillol came out of the goal and Lennie Langhammer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The BRASIL.Sp support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
