After a rather tough play, Bruly's Ritchie Spoelberghe got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Bruly's Rudy Duchateau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Mcvey in the 3rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Burhanettin Utman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudy Duchateau was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. 44 minutes into the match, Bruly's goal looked a bit too open when Blade King came free, but Rudy Duchateau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylvan De Maret stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malcolm Mcvey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rudy Duchateau firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sylvan De Maret scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Diehl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Burhanettin Utman struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rudy Duchateau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melbourne 007. Rudy Duchateau made an important save on a dangerous shot by 秦梁翀 in the 90th minute. Thomas Diehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvan De Maret in the 94th minute of play. Malcolm Mcvey succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 96th playminute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
