The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Frido Stumpf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 6 minutes, Roch Hatman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnley FC and the Give Peace a Chance players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roch Hatman kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Dave Falcioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lu Sang, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilo Pusch in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odilo Pusch in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Falcioni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frido Stumpf scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave Falcioni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Burnley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Pietrantoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lennie Langhammer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dave Falcioni. Burnley FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dave Falcioni came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Give Peace a Chance's Frido Stumpf. But to his dismay, Frido Stumpf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dave Falcioni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantin Hirte's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Give Peace a Chance's Lu Sang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Falcioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fabiano De Bonis's late challenge caught a Give Peace a Chance's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano De Bonis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Burnley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano De Bonis to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Lennie Langhammer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Falcioni. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Falcioni should have stopped the shot. After 36 minutes of play, Give Peace a Chance's Frido Stumpf made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Falcioni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Sang in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Give Peace a Chance's Godo Jaffke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Falcioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enzo Proietti was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Marek Czempa. In the 52nd minute, Lennie Langhammer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Burnley FC from getting a goal against them. Lennie Langhammer ran over to the corner to take the kick. 71 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frido Stumpf came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano De Bonis hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Lu Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Give Peace a Chance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Sang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Anthony Pietrantoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes, Give Peace a Chance's Marc Heising shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dave Falcioni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Give Peace a Chance reached it. Dave Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Hirte in the 82nd minute of the match. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frido Stumpf in the 84th minute of play. Dave Falcioni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lu Sang in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Godo Jaffke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Falcioni. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Falcioni should have stopped the shot. Joschi Breneizeris kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Enzo Proietti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Give Peace a Chance left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Burnley FC.
