The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Anastasios Boukouvalas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpina FC's Didier Schollens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Benkó in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Róbert Benkó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Didier Schollens. Alpina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Róbert Benkó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 13th minute, Kylian Henry had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Babacar Sylla's late challenge caught a Armada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Babacar Sylla helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Alpina FC got a freekick which was hit by Babacar Sylla. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Didier Schollens having to make a save. Róbert Benkó did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Didier Schollens 18 minutes into the match. Cristi Miheș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Damman, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbert Benkó in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didier Schollens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes Alpina FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Alves. Armada's Cristi Miheș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Van Mellaert in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Servando Dorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Miheș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Miheș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Servando Dorado, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to Armada getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. The corner led Alpina FC's Dirk Damman to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristi Miheș despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Alpina FC's Didier Schollens got control of the ball when Róbert Benkó tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didier Schollens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Róbert Benkó showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 40 minute of play. Didier Schollens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbert Benkó's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Róbert Benkó might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didier Schollens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Benkó ran back to his position shaking his head. Alpina FC's Didier Schollens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Alpina FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Servando Dorado was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Dirk Damman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Didier Schollens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Benkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Róbert Benkó cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didier Schollens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filomeno Igon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Didier Schollens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Alpina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Benkó came free, but Didier Schollens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbert Benkó in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didier Schollens saved Alpina FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Armada's Cristi Miheș got control of the ball when Alfons Van Mellaert tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Armada's Róbert Benkó sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didier Schollens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbert Benkó was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Róbert Benkó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Didier Schollens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Benkó in the 87th minute of the match. When Armada's Róbert Benkó in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alpina FC's goalie prevented a goal.
