Attilio Silveri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kenny Charlton showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. In the 46th minute, Mitch Dryden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes, Comunardo Pocobello made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side.
