Vytautas Petkus hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Cléber da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kacper Sroka didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Edgaras Žiemelis in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SORRISO E. C.'s Hüsnü Saltuk. SORRISO E. FC Žalia Giria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davi Isac was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Žalia Giria:s goal. SORRISO E. C.:s Christiano Arce showed great skill when he stopped Jack Grealish:s penalty. Christiano Arce made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Augustinas Baltramaitis sent off a good shot on target. FC Žalia Giria's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
