The Futbol Club RRFV fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Futbol Club RRFV's Samuel Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Angelo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Felenak, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. La Pointe Courte's Gao Yang Yan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 洪延广 in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Futbol Club RRFV's Darko Mišura got a free kick in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Souza was the one to do the kick off. In the 66th minute, Fausto Vimaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gao Yang Yan. The goal made the score 1-3. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Gilbert Thellier replaced Alain Girault. Luiz Guilherme Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gao Yang Yan made a huge save. Futbol Club RRFV were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after La Pointe Courte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Norberto Lara took the corner. After taking down the ball on Futbol Club RRFV's corner Norberto Lara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gao Yang Yan quite easily take care of the ball.
