With a little luck, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi got control of the ball when Rene Indartsu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Dahleb came free, but Václav Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Te Moriste en Madrid's Daniel Dahleb was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 24 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Dahleb came free, but Václav Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Schwarzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Gentza in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Dorio in the 34th minute of play forced Te Moriste en Madrid's goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Václav Filipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Dahleb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ATLETICO MENDOZA booed when Te Moriste en Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maximino Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Václav Filipi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Indartsu in the 44th minute. Václav Filipi made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Rene Indartsu sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Ruy to strike the kick off in the second half. Václav Filipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Indartsu in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th match minute, ATLETICO MENDOZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Sotil to maneuver through the defense. Václav Filipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Dahleb, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Te Moriste en Madrid's goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Gentza. Ivan Gentza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Mark Schwarzer 57 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes of play, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Maximino Ruy made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mark Schwarzer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivan Gentza struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mark Schwarzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATLETICO MENDOZA. In the 70th minute, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Lucas Haimar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lucas Haimar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ATLETICO MENDOZA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucas Haimar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in ATLETICO MENDOZA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! If Ivan Gentza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Václav Filipi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Indartsu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Celedonio Dorio got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Te Moriste en Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Andolin Alcalde. Ivan Gentza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Mark Schwarzer made a huge save. Celedonio Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Aldo Sotil with Severino Gentza as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Václav Filipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Dahleb, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Gentza in the 99th minute of play forced Te Moriste en Madrid's goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
