Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Lain in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cityzens Mdz's Sixto Larra got a free kick in the 16th minute. Melkior Thorslev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Dorio in the 21st minute. Alberto Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Maximino Ruy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melkior Thorslev, 1-0. The supporters of Cityzens Mdz booed when ATLETICO MENDOZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Cresitobalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sixto Larra made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Dorio in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melkior Thorslev saved Cityzens Mdz from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Celedonio Dorio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Melkior Thorslev. If Lukasz Marut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 70 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Severino Gentza. Václav Filipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Lain in the 74th minute of play.
