After 3 minutes of play, Give Peace a Chance's Mattias Hilger made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Gurutz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Calvino charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Calvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomás Calvino hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes of play, Give Peace a Chance's Mattias Hilger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Gurutz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Frichoso during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Yucatan F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Frichoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Silvester Schwede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Gurutz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mattias Hilger went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Lex Punke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Gurutz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Florentino Gurutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Hilger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Yucatan F.C. defense, Silvester Schwede kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentino Gurutz. The Yucatan F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Gurutz should have stopped the shot. Florentino Gurutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvester Schwede, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Lu Sang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Gurutz. Yucatan F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lu Sang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Lu Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Florentino Gurutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Yucatan F.C. booed when Give Peace a Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonid Junginger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Silvester Schwede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Gurutz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Schwede in the 47th minute of play forced Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Gurutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Frichoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Mattias Hilger succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-11. In the 68th play minute Mattias Hilger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florentino Gurutz. 0-13. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Schwede in the 71st minute of play forced Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Gurutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Give Peace a Chance's Lex Punke dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-14. Florentino Gurutz was a little too slow when Werner Zernicke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-15. After 79 played minutes Lu Sang rounded Yucatan F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-16. In the 82nd minute, Silvester Schwede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lu Sang kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florentino Gurutz. That made the score 0-17 in the 84 minute of play. Florentino Gurutz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lex Punke went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-18 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Gurutz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mattias Hilger. Yucatan F.C.'s Florentino Gurutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Yucatan F.C. from getting a goal against them. The Yucatan F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Give Peace a Chance were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
