An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Czermak in the 10th minute of play forced Gene Centaurs Munich's goalkeeper Thomas Trenker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Irber kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Thomas Trenker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Czermak in the 15th minute of the match. Challenger RT's Grzegorz Bielecki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Challenger RT from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Challenger RT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kasimir Kehr was slow to take the kick. During this time Gene Centaurs Munich's players had a chance to rest. Thomas Trenker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Czermak in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Challenger RT's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Ahlstedt came free, but Grzegorz Bielecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Ahlstedt in the 22nd minute of play forced Challenger RT's goalkeeper Grzegorz Bielecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Zenon Czermak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Trenker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Gene Centaurs Munich's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Winnicki came free, but Thomas Trenker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gene Centaurs Munich's Thomas Trenker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Zamfira in the 29th minute of play. Challenger RT's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Andreas Ahlstedt scored to the left of an out of position Grzegorz Bielecki, making the score, 1-0. Grzegorz Bielecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hartmut Hester in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Olgierd Winnicki made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Trenker. Gene Centaurs Munich's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 44 played minutes Challenger RT got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Augustyniak. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zenon Czermak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Leopold Betz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gene Centaurs Munich and the Challenger RT players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gene Centaurs Munich getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Leopold Betz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasimir Kehr in the 55th minute of play forced Challenger RT's goalkeeper Grzegorz Bielecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gene Centaurs Munich's Kasimir Kehr was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Grzegorz Bielecki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Challenger RT getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Janusz Dawiec hit a great ball. Matei Zamfira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Thomas Trenker made a huge save. Matei Zamfira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Trenker having to interfere. Grzegorz Bielecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hartmut Hester in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Gene Centaurs Munich got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Schwinn. Thomas Trenker came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Challenger RT's Janusz Dawiec. But to his dismay, Janusz Dawiec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Zamfira got free with Thomas Trenker in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Kasimir Kehr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Bielecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janusz Dawiec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauritz Palmer in the 90th minute of play forced Challenger RT's goalkeeper Grzegorz Bielecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes, Antoni Tarka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Challenger RT and the Gene Centaurs Munich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Challenger RT got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Tarka. The Challenger RT players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
