In the 4th minute of the match JEC - FC got a corner. Seterma Tractors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Liu Xiang Zhen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Liu Xiang Zhen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech did a great save. If Julio Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Seterma Tractors defense, Braulio Toli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Čech. The Seterma Tractors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Čech should have stopped the shot. Tarcisio Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Čech having to interfere. In the 12th minute Julio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Julio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Julio Baptista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Čech was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Julio Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Čech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julio Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Baptista in the 32nd minute of play forced Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Pedro Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Seterma Tractors got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Barros. Ademir Tande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Carlos Ramos made a huge save. After a rather tough play, JEC - FC's Luisinho Ribeiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Braulio Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Tarcisio Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademir Tande was the one to do the kick off. Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Seterma Tractors from getting a goal against them. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Seterma Tractors were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after JEC - FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Toninho Lopez took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Toninho Lopez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Ramos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 61st minute Braulio Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Toli struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pedro Čech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JEC - FC. After a defensive mix-up in Seterma Tractors's zone, Julio Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Čech came out of the goal and Julio Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Seterma Tractors's Acácio Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Tarcisio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Julio Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the JEC - FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Baptista couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes JEC - FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Galvão. In the 87th minute Tarcisio Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 played minutes Seterma Tractors got a freekick which was hit by Renato Dionísio. Julio Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Čech having to make a save. Alexandre Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Čech having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Pedro Čech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Baptista. JEC - FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
