The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. In the 4th match minute, Laguna Sunrise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otávio Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when 洪笑珂 put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Laguna Sunrise FC booed when JEC - FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. 洪笑珂 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes, Laguna Sunrise FC's Wellington Ferraz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laguna Sunrise FC reached it. Carlos Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Hoffmann in the 11th minute of the match. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Laguna Sunrise FC defense, Tarcisio Galvão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emílio Peres. The Laguna Sunrise FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emílio Peres should have stopped the shot. When Anísio Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laguna Sunrise FC's protests and gave Anísio Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Laguna Sunrise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Abreu in the 19th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Ricardinho Maia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emílio Peres, passed just outside the right post. Emílio Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braulio Toli went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Braulio Toli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liu Xiang Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, JEC - FC's Emílio Peres threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Braulio Toli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carlos Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Andrade in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Emílio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Toli in the 51st minute of play. When JEC - FC's Braulio Toli in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laguna Sunrise FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 55 played minutes Laguna Sunrise FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Marquez. 57 minutes into the match, Braulio Toli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Peres. Laguna Sunrise FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Toli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Emílio Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braulio Toli went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. JEC - FC made a substitution. Alexandre Tepedino replaced Braulio Toli. Emílio Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. JEC - FC made a substitution. Douglas Meira replaced Julio Baptista. After 73 played minutes Laguna Sunrise FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder de Lima. Emílio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Galvão in the 74th minute of play. JEC - FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tarcisio Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Peres having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Galvão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Peres was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Alexandre Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Peres was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Tarcisio Galvão struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Emílio Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JEC - FC.
