Olinda FMZ DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Carlos Vaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olinda FMZ DMZ's Ixidor Lelerre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrey Kovtun in the 5th minute of play. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Andrey Kovtun got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Olinda FMZ DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Sulser came free, but Ixidor Lelerre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ixidor Lelerre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryszard Nowak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ixidor Lelerre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Viorel Buș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Gugu Mandrak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olinda FMZ DMZ's Ixidor Lelerre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Ryszard Nowak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ixidor Lelerre was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ixidor Lelerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sándor Szabados, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A hard shot 33 in the game by Gugu Mandrak from a close distance when the talented Ixidor Lelerre managed to make a qualified save. Olinda FMZ DMZ's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, Olinda FMZ DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Kovtun came free, but Ixidor Lelerre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- were awarded a corner. Zé Carlos Vaz went to the cornerflag to take it. Ixidor Lelerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Kovtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Carlos Vaz in the 42nd minute. Ixidor Lelerre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 45th minute. When Elias Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Olinda FMZ DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Coutinho couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gugu Mandrak was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Andrey Kovtun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ixidor Lelerre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Andrey Kovtun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ixidor Lelerre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Kovtun in the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Gugu Mandrak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ixidor Lelerre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olinda FMZ DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Carlos Vaz was slow to take the kick. During this time Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s players had a chance to rest. Olinda FMZ DMZ's Ixidor Lelerre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrey Kovtun in the 62nd minute of play. Ixidor Lelerre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Loyola in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Loyola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ixidor Lelerre. Olinda FMZ DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ixidor Lelerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Kovtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Gugu Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Olinda FMZ DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Elias Coutinho. Andrey Kovtun took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ixidor Lelerre. Ixidor Lelerre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Olinda FMZ DMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-.
