Daniel Chaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babür Kongurtay in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, PIRATAS TFP's Jacinto de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Dragões Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. 傅洋青 hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 24th minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Dragões Barbudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Jacinto de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dragões Barbudos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Clemente Pires was slow to take the kick. During this time PIRATAS TFP's players had a chance to rest. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dragões Barbudos FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 42 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goal looked a bit too open when Babür Kongurtay came free, but Antônio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Gică Moisescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from 傅洋青 in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PIRATAS TFP's Gerson de Barros. Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson de Barros in the 58th minute of play. The Dragões Barbudos FC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Dragões Barbudos FC's Gil Paulista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antônio Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gică Moisescu went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute Babür Kongurtay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Dé Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PIRATAS TFP and the Dragões Barbudos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PIRATAS TFP getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dé Vander hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luke Olle. Jacinto de Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Dragões Barbudos FC's Gică Moisescu made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antônio Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Olle in the 86th minute of play. PIRATAS TFP were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Dragões Barbudos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clemente Pires took the corner. In the 91st minute, 傅洋青 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jacinto de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Chaves was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 94th minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragões Barbudos FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
