In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Rene Austin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Mendes in the 38th minute of play. Otávio Velasco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Rene Austin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cipriano Argenis. Alfredinho Lopez's late challenge caught a FC Barrera 2.0's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredinho Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredinho Lopez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Mendes in the 45th minute of play forced Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Rene Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Dadá Maravilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Austin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Maravilha in the 51st minute of play. FC Barrera 2.0's CJ Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Barrera 2.0 from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of FC Barrera 2.0:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ:s goal. Antonello Anzolin scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of CJ Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Maravilha came free, but Rene Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Marco Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacey Sharp couldn't finish the play. Rene Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cacey Sharp went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute, Cacey Sharp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Cacey Sharp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fryderyk Pacholewski got free with CJ Buffon in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rene Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Mendes went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. FC Barrera 2.0's Sidnei Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Mendes came free, but Rene Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marco Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Austin was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cacey Sharp in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Austin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Barrera 2.0's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
