Rene Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Célio Queirós came free, but Przemyslaw Tscherner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryszard Nowak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rene Austin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rene Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Kovtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Przemyslaw Tscherner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Queirós in the 14th minute of play. Célio Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Przemyslaw Tscherner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Lopez in the 20th minute of play forced Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tscherner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Gugu Mandrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Austin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Amorim in the 24th minute of play forced Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tscherner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Austin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Moreira in the 25th minute of the match. Ryszard Nowak kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 26thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's keeper Rene Austin was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 29 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Vaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rene Austin. Zé Carlos Vaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 33rd match minute, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Anzolin to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Zé Carlos Vaz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Austin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin got control of the ball when Gugu Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Rene Austin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Mandrak. After a rather tough play, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Carmelo Salantes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Antonello Anzolin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gugu Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. Przemyslaw Tscherner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Lopez in the 51st minute of the match. In the 74th minute Andrey Kovtun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Zé Carlos Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Gugu Mandrak sped through Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rene Austin. In the 86th minute Gildo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Tscherner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 90th minute of play forced Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Rene Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bai Zhen Kang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Przemyslaw Tscherner made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
