Sermet Tacal scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Austin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute, Sermet Tacal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Rene Austin was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Sermet Tacal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sermet Tacal really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Stuart Legzdins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Austin having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Lopez came free, but Telmo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ from getting a goal against them. Rene Austin made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Sermet Tacal sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dean Velasco hit a great ball. Rene Austin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Legzdins in the 24th minute of play. Lupere FC - DMZ's Telmo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Queirós in the 26th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Pancho Pancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupere FC - DMZ and the Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Telmo Valadares had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Antonello Anzolin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rene Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sermet Tacal in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Legzdins came free, but Rene Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Austin came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Lupere FC - DMZ's Alan das Neves. But to his dismay, Alan das Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Cerqueira in the 39th minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Telmo Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Legzdins, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Lupere FC - DMZ's Telmo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Lopez in the 43rd minute of play. Rene Austin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Legzdins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sermet Tacal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rene Austin came out and tried to block the shot, but Sermet Tacal slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stuart Legzdins to strike the kick off in the second half. Alan das Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Austin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Eduardo Paraense got a free kick in the 64th minute. Telmo Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Austin having to interfere. Rene Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Legzdins, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sermet Tacal came free, but Rene Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
