The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlinhos Viana got free with Carlos Ramos in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, JEC - FC's Alexandre Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Câmara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ferrao FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. D.J. 武磊 hit a great ball. Carlos Ramos made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Carlinhos Viana sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by JEC - FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudinho Arantes was slow to take the kick. During this time Ferrao FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emílio Pernambucano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Viana in the 22nd minute of play forced JEC - FC's goalkeeper Carlos Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Valdemar Câmara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Carlinhos Viana made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Ramos. JEC - FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlinhos Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. Ferrao FC's Valdemar Câmara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Tepedino in the 55th minute of play. Valdemar Câmara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Tepedino in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of JEC - FC booed when Ferrao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Câmara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
