The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armando Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gedeon Káposztás, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Papão de WC from getting a goal against them. Joris Scheer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Andréas Linquist made a huge save. Gedeon Káposztás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joris Scheer in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Joris Scheer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andréas Linquist. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Carlos Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gedeon Káposztás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Barral. In the 25th minute, Bernardinho Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Linquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Gedeon Káposztás came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Gedeon Káposztás left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Papão de WC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Abreu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andréas Linquist saved Grêmio Papão de WC from getting behind. Gedeon Káposztás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Cerezo having to make a save. In the 38th minute Gedeon Káposztás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andréas Linquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris Scheer in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

S.C.CHUÍ's Caetano Paranaense was substituted for Luiz Pereira. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gedeon Káposztás made a kick off. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joris Scheer in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andréas Linquist was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Armando Cerezo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Grêmio Papão de WC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after S.C.CHUÍ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Paulo Marquez took the corner. Rodrigo Muniz came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armando Cerezo could save by the left post.
