Apolo Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Barreiros in the 12th minute of play. When Pablo Chap fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED DEVIL's protests and gave Pablo Chap a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Pablo Chap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, RED DEVIL's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Moise came free, but Ali Cafer Konuralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sportivo Constitución's Apolo Aguirre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Romo in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Arsenio Erico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cafer Konuralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Cafer Konuralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Erico in the 19th minute of play. Serafino Flores's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Apolo Aguirre firmly grabbed it by the left post. The corner led RED DEVIL's Tomás Romo to fire away a dangerous shot which Apolo Aguirre despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Apolo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Barreiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in RED DEVIL fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Ali Cafer Konuralp had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Arsenio Erico's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Serafino Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Cafer Konuralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Moise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Sportivo Constitución got a freekick which was hit by Americo Txomin. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Barreiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Apolo Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Flores in the 51st minute of play. After 52 played minutes Sportivo Constitución got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Medardo. Apolo Aguirre came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by RED DEVIL's Fernando Barreiros. But to his dismay, Fernando Barreiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Constitución's Ambrosio Jerano got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, RED DEVIL's Pablo Chap broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ali Cafer Konuralp made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Raul Moise sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of RED DEVIL booed when Sportivo Constitución was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Medardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arsenio Erico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sportivo Constitución made a substitution. Godofredo Eduino replaced Raul Moise. Apolo Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Flores in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Romo in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apolo Aguirre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ali Cafer Konuralp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsenio Erico's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind RED DEVIL's goalkeeper Ali Cafer Konuralp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Arsenio Erico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Constitución fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
